Pregnant after Endometriosis

I would like to share how I became pregnant after endometriosis. In my early twenties I had a severe case of endometriosis. Doctors at the time prescribed birth control pills of several varieties to try to alleviate the pain.

After a year and half of debilitating pain, I was prescribed the Leuprolide injection for 5 months, which basically causes a chemical induced premature menopause to stop all ovulation. The side effects were horrible, to say the least. A laparoscopy and laser ablation were performed to remove the endometriosis that was still there and the scar tissue left over from the cysts. Since then, I had taken the Depo Provera injection, and hadn’t had a menstrual cycle for over ten years.

My husband and I decided to try to conceive, but with the understanding that my past medical condition could cause fertility problems. I stopped the injections and found Amelia Hirota. I wanted to try to naturally conceive, without any further hormone therapy.

After my very first visit with Amelia, I understood more about the female body than I had my whole life. I was 37 at that time. Amelia explained the phases of a normal cycle, the reasons behind my endometriosis issues, and so much more. I felt manipulated by all the doctors I had seen in the past. I hoped that the treatment and drugs that I had allowed my previous doctors to give me, hadn’t done permanent damage to my body.

Amelia used results from a saliva test, hair mineral analysis, and lots of discussion about what was happening every day with my body. Amelia prescribed herbs, acupuncture, detox steps for heavy metals, and nutritional advice. It was hard work, but there was never a time when I doubted Amelia’s advice. It took us 7 months to get my menstrual cycles back after stopping the Depo Provera, and then they were pain-free and pleasant. It took another 5 months to regulate my cycle.

I am now 16 weeks pregnant. I continued to see Amelia for acupuncture throughout my first trimester. I did not have any morning sickness, and I feel fantastic. I would recommend Amelia and the Phoenix Fertility Center for any woman looking to improve her health, understand her body, and/or naturally conceive. Thank you for listening.
