Pregnant after 3 Months!

After taking Amelia Hirota's Acupuncture for Fertility class at the Learning Connection, I was pregnant after 3 months. I learned a lot in the class about the importance of charting and diet.

I had been charting my cycle for about a year, but didn't really understand my chart until Amelia explained it to me. My husband and I completely cleaned up our diets after the class and I believe that this is what made the difference for us. We WERE drinking coffee, wine and the occasional Diet Coke. We went cold turkey after the class and had major headaches from the caffeine withdrawals. That was scary!

Amelia is a great teacher and sincerely interested in helping women to understand their fertility. If you have the opportunity to see her speak, I encourage you to sign up. I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years when I took her class and then 3 months after the class, I'm pregnant. This is a miracle and I'm forever grateful to Amelia for sharing her knowledge with women everywhere.

Hi Amelia, I have also been diagnosed with low ovarian reserve with an AMH test. My question is since I can't conceive naturally, whether or not acupuncture will help in my situation? Will it help with a better response to medications thereby producing more eggs with potentially good egg quality to have a healthy child? What do you think of acupuncture and low ovarian reserve? Thank you for your assistance, Shelley

Dear Amelia, My name is Heather and I've been seeing an acupuncturist that I really like here in San Diego. I recently completed a comprehensive female hormone panel saliva test and it showed that I have high testosterone levels. I was told that I have too much sugar in my diet with possible PCOS. What do you think about high testosterone levels and PCOS?


Dear Amelia, I have uterine fibroids and I had a myomectomy when I was 27. My goal in to get pregnant and shrink the fibroids without undergoing another surgery.
