No Period After Birth Control Pills

I had no period after birth control pills. I went off birth control pills in July and did not get a period for 3 months. My OB/GYN ran a million tests, some very scary, and came up with nothing. She recommended that I try acupuncture to relax and help myself. I started seeing Amelia in October.

After just one appointment with Amelia, I got my period and then proceeded to have a 28 day cycle. My cycle and charting was certainly not perfect, but after just 3 cycles with Amelia, I'm pregnant! I am now almost 7 weeks, and although I am terribly nauseous, I feel great and am really excited.

The key for me was trying to be patient with my body. I had been on the pill for so many years that I really needed time to get it all out of my system. Amelia helped me realize this. I also found that even though the charting was enlightening, the most important thing I did was RELAX!
