Getting Pregnant with Hydrosalpinx

Hello Amelia,
I had a myomectomy 2 years ago. after After my hsg I was told that my tubes were clear, so fibroids must be my fertility issue. The surgery went wrong and resulted in a second surgery days later. Needless to say my low risk procedure turn out to be almost life threatening.

After a picc line for several weeks and pain meds, my follow up gave me more bad news. Due to the surgery, I now have a mild right hydrosalpinx. Devastated, I stumbled across Herbal Remedies Fuyan pills and followed the instructions.

My transvaginal ultrasound prior to treatment showed a large left mass along with right mild hydrosalpinx. The same ultrasound done recently showed large left mass dissolved but right tube issues still there. My question is, do you have any thoughts on this medication. I am a bit impressed as the remaining small fibroids which were numerous were down to under 4 few small ones.

I'm considering another month or so, but there are expensive. I am looking for some honest answers, so my family can move forward the best we can. Thanks for your help! I truly appreciate your expertise.

Thank you,
Lynnette

Hydrosalpinx and Fuyan Pills
by: Amelia Hirota, D.Ac.

Hi Lynnette,
I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. You sound like a very strong woman. Well the surgery that inflicted hydrosalpinx is really terrible. However, it's only on the right side, so I don't see this as a terrible hindrance. Many of my patients have conceived with only 1 functioning fallopian tube.

I think that the results that you're getting with the Fuyan PIlls are very impressive. However, I'm nervous that you're self medicating with them. I really think that it would be prudent to work with an herbalist, so that you're taking the right formula that is indicated for your constitution. There are many formulas in Chinese herbalism that address fibroids and hydrosalpinx.

That's why I don't make recommendations for herbs on my website. They really should be prescribed by a qualified herbalist that has done an assessment of your body. Fuyan Pills are a fairly strong formula that's designed to invigorate the blood and clear heat and dampness.

Moving the blood is one way that we work to clear fibroids with Chinese herbs. Also clearing heat and dampness is method we use to open a hydrosalpinx. However, are these methods indicated in your case? I'm not sure.

Because this formula is strong, it may not be a good idea to take it long term. That's why I'm recommending that you work with an herbalist. I don't want you have any more problems.

Let's back up for a moment and look at the fact that your uterus had so many fibroids in the first place. Fibroids tell us that the body is in an estrogen dominant state. Even if you remove fibroids with surgery, if you don't balance the hormones, your body will continue making more fibroids each menstrual cycle.

Even though the Fuyan Pills appear to be shrinking the fibroids, they're not addressing your constitution or your overal hormonal health. I'm recommending that you watch my Webinar #1, "Your Hormones are the Driver Behind Your Fertility," so that you have a foundational understanding of your hormones. You can then see if my comments resonate with you.

It's very important for you to understand the big picture, as you make these decisions concerning your fertility. Just using a Chinese herbal formula to shrink your fibroids or clear your hydrosalpinx may not actually get you to your goal of getting pregnant. I hope that I have been helpful.
