Baby on the way after 3 failed IVF cycles

Hi my name is Nicole and I am 38yrs old. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the past 3yrs. We had 3 cycles of artificial insemination and the 3rd one they missed my ovulation. I was also on Clomid for 6 months, as well to stimulate my ovaries.

Next we went through a very long year of IVF. We tried 3 times with IVF and none of them took. The only thing that they found was that my left fallopian tube was blocked and they were unable to open it, but there was still no reason why I shouldn't get pregnant.

So, in January of this year I went and saw Amelia. I went every Monday and she changed my diet and increased my exercise regime. I also took herbs that were especially made for me.

I charted my temps, as well. We found through charting that I had PCOS and a luteal phase defect. My first cycle, I ovulated on day 45 and had a 4 day luteal phase. On my second cycle I ovulated on day 28 and had a 10 day luteal phase. On my third cycle, I ovulated on day 16 and my temps were staying up very nicely.

I got pregnant on this third cycle in the beginning of May 08! My husband and I have been on cloud 9 ever since. I stayed with Amelia until my 12th week (1st trimester) and I will return to her for more treatment at 35 weeks to get through the labor and deliver. We wish someone had said something about acupuncture 3yrs ago....instead of IVF. Thanks Amelia!!!!!

Oh we are not finding out the sex of the baby....all we want is for the baby to be healthy!! Due January 12th 2009...we can't wait!!!!!!!
